Ghosts

I made a design for the ghost contest on spoonflower and it came in top ten, spooky how good it printed!

Cards

I had some beautiful postcards printed, with a velvet finish, makes me want to touch them all day! Together with Jenny Bakker, Nina Smit and Pyhai

They are sold in Concerto kids (a section of a legendary music store in Amsterdam)

Hat Rack

My sons school asked me to paint the hat rack, it was just boring brown. I decided to paint a bit of 'Rotterdam' on in (that's where we live) One side has all typical Rotterdam buildings on it, City hall, Euromast, kubuswoning the old tram 2, etc. Rotterdam was bommed during the second world war and almost the entire centre was destroyed, so the buildings that do stand are cherished. People who live in Rotterdam are considered hard workers, and can be rough in the mouth, proud of their city but always bitching, like a dog pissing on it!

The other side show a big container boat, Rotterdam has the third biggest harbour in the world, we see a lot of the big big big boats coming by, really cool!

Look what came in last week, my first licensed fabric! By Liandlo it looks soooooo good!!! It's a very soft jersey, perfect for little boys. My son wants a vest and a shirt, I'm sewing the next couple of days...

Crickets for little ladies

I designed a cricket pattern for the contest on spoonflower, and I made it a girl design, pretty good for me because I mostly design for boys! With my son going to girls birthday parties I needed more girl designs ;-)

Shirts in jersey!

I had this jersey fabric printed by a new Dutch fabric on demand website ( http://www.exprezzit.nl/ ) and it came out so good!!! I was so pleased how it survived the waching machine, it stayed perfect! And a good wash is very much needed for a 5year old boy.... I made a shark shirt and a top of snake fabric, so scarryyyyyy!!!!!

Our Pet frogs

My son and I spend quite some time chasing frogs in our garden, we don't have a pond but they say frogs never leave the place where they were born. As I mow the grass tiny little frogs jump around, avoiding the lawn mower. Very special nature experience for I live in a big city in The Netherlands.

This design came in top ten in the Spoonflower frog design contest, so fun to see it printed!

I guess the 'little quick things' I make sometimes work best, a party invitation for my little boy who wanted a dragon party, his wish is my comment!

More Plushies

I love designing plush, awakes my inner child I suppose or something. The last batch of them are cute and cosy critters, I made 5 but also have plans for a mouse, an owl and a hedgehog, nice little family I think!

I entered the 'Cosy Bunny' in the spoonflower contest and it came in top ten, fun to see it printed, now some sewing to do to get them al ready to cuddle.
